My Rutland 913 wind generator bought Oct 01 had a warranty repair in Mar 02. It failed again at the back end of last year and I have been in talking to them trying to get it sorted. I finally gave up and sent it back last week for them to sort it out. They phoned today to say that the stator winding had burned out and because I had had a previous warranty repair, they would also carry out this repair under warranty. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Glad to hear it's been fixed and that in this day and age some companies still value their clients.

Hi Nigel,

I totally agree about Marlec, who were simply fantastic when I had problems (all my own fault or lack of knowledge) with my 913. I dealt with Colin Dunthorne who was incredibly helpful and supportive over quite a long period.

I rate this company as A1 for their customer care way beyond the standard warranty period so miserably adhered to by so many in the marine industry.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again and very strongly recommend them.

Isn't it nice to be really cheerful about one's past problems?!!

Good sailing!
