Hi,

Need some Raymarine cabling and wondered who is the best place to buy them from ?

I'm aware of NMEAshop.co.uk and marinesuperstore.com but they both have restricted stock and are really pricey. Also, not looking for non-UK eBay suppliers. Anyone here found a place with good stock and cheap (for R) prices ?

Thanks,

Boo2

What do you actually mean by "Raymarine cabling"? Actual made-up assemblies with plugs and Raymarine part numbers, or a coil of Seatalk cable?

I have bought several Seatalk cables from ebay from various suppliers and all have appeared to be genuine and have worked, at some reasonable prices. You do need to be aware what they would cost from a chandlers before committing to a 'bargain' price to be hit with an overpriced postage cost though.

For SeaTalk (I) you can just use 2.8 mm x 0.8 mm FastOn connectors. An option is the grease the cut-out, then fill with hot-melt glue, remember to make a handle!

I'm talking about STng now, hopefully all my ST1 cabling is complete for the moment.

Are there any good/cheap suppliers for the Pukka Raymarine stuff, Nigel ? I'm fairly sure R don't sell the connectors on their own.

These ones then?

They look a bit like "aviation" connectors.
