Good Day Skipper Book?

Hi all,
Anyone recommend a good day skipper book?. There seems to be several about £10-20, some by Tom Cunliffe, some with practise charts, some without. Which one do you like?. Cheers Ming

tom cunliffe again and again. Try the yachtmaster one - bit more advanced but still really good.

I still keep a copy of Toms on board for those moments when i am not sure about something - very easy to read !

Tonm Cunliffe for readability and information; if you want more theory the RYA Book of Navigation has it all up to Yachtmaster level.

Definitely Tom Cunliffe. All of his books, including the Shell channel pilot, are written with an easy to read style that is also humorous.

Whats wrong with the RYA Day Skipper Book?

Its got everything in there, but people don't read it.

Tom Cunliffe's D/S book does not cover sounds/lights/shapes, but the RYA one does!

I did also see his Yachtmaster book, but wondered if it would start off beyond Day Skipper and confuse me before I started?. Or is it competant crew, DS, CS, etc before hitting yachtmaster?. Ming
