Good company for solar regulators and panels needed!

I have a simple on/off regulator which works well and protects the battery from boiling. Most sailors use the engine quite often which will charge more quickly. If you are never going to use the engine and you spend long periods at anchor, a more sophisticated charge regulator/controller would be justified IMHO.

Thanks

I'm planning to go to the Azores and will use the engine as little as possible.

Unfortunately, i can only find mmpt regulators on ebay rated around 30A.

Having bought one that is rubbish, Im still looking for a quality requlator that will be reliable.

It is difficult with engine charging to get the batteries above 85%. The last 15% takes a long time. One big advantage of solar, for boats that do not have ready access to mains power, is the batteries can reach 100%. To do this the solar regulator needs to do a reasonable job.

Thanks for the offer, but I think the power output is too small. At the moment I have 100w solar but will be increasing it in the near future to a total of 300w

I'm in pendennis marina on the outer pontoon, Yacht Piccolo.

Pm sent.
