Going sailing in Gib...

...in 3 weeks time.

I'm assuming a quick trip to Patagonia tapas across the border is out, but can people recommend any bays to anchor in on either side of the strait?

Time to look on eBay for Naval Numeral 5 and a large pair of Red Ensign battle flags.

I'd watch out for all that concrete they're chucking overboard for the artificial reef, you'll never get your anchor up once your snagged that lot........!!!!

Avoid all that by going to over to Morocco!

Was in Patagonia on Sunday...Yummy. If you want to anchor up head across to Getares Bay, south of Algeceiras. Of course Cuetta for lunch or Smir for dinner is nice.

There's a nice bay for anchoring just east of Sotogrande with a chiringuito on the beach.

You can anchor just outside Alcaidaisa Marina at La Linea...and La Linea is far nicer than Gib.

But then if the Moroccans decide they want Ceuta back off of Spain there may be blocks in the water there too
