go faster sailing books

I've not read those Simon but knowing your boat I would consider any of the small catamaran sailing books if you haven't already done so.

Its mostly about rig tuning and sailing in apparent wind.

The absolute bible when it comes to going faster is from north sails.
They do two volumes, trim and tactics. Trim is what you want if it's just going faster rather than winning races that you're interested in.

I have both of those, but then I buy too many books!
Bethwaite has a new book out, not seen it yet, don't know if its an update or stands alongside the first?
For racing, Dave Perry's 'Winning in One Designs' is a must imho. Beyond that it depends what kind of racing, and what you want to know, boatspeed, weather, tactics, rules, crew work etc.
I try to avoid buying books that are too general.
There is also a lot on the web, in various fora and class ass'n websites and sailmakers etc.

The Bethwaite book is more about high performance dinghies and racing performance, though there are some good general chapters on wind/weather /hull shapes/ drag/ polars etc. It is quite theoretical, a good read if you like your science and physics. The North sails books are better for the practical aspects of getting your boat to go faster.
