Gluing carpet onto the inside of the hull

You can probably get aerosol glue at your destination. Use Google Translate to find keywords to ask in hardwate shop.
Alternatively order online for delivery to where you keep your boat.

May be able to find correct adhesive there but trying to post from UK to Europe at the moment can be a nightmare. A mate has been held at Santander with his van for several days due to incorrect or incomplete paperwork.

I've been thinking about this for out forepeak, however, after a couple of days on a friend's boat, Milady rather likes the idea of wood, so I'm thinking of epoxying vertical battens to the hull, filling the gaps with closed cell insulation - camping mats or the like, covering the whole lot with a plastic sheet as a vapour barrier and screwing slats to the battens.

Any caveats or other thoughts? I'm aware of potential issues with the double curvature - that's why I don't think ply would work unless I slice it up.

Do it, or inform Management that "camper carpet" is the only option? I'm no shipwright, but I am an averagely competent wood butcher

I want to glue cord carpet onto the hull to line the forepeak.

What glue should I use?

On my previous boat I used " Trim Fix High Temperature Adhesive Glue Spay For Van Lining". Care was needed to ensure the carpet was properly orientated as the adhesive didn't allow the carpet to be repositioned once contact was made. The carpet remained well bonded with no areas displaying signs of detachment or sagging. I'd use it again.
