Gludy\'s New Boat

Bought a new boat today, it will be finished building in a few weeks.
Simply could not resist it.

It does 40 mph!! So it can beat a Leopard!!

It can turn in its own length and the fuel consumption is so low as to be easily affordable.

Deep V hull with amazing handling.

Not much time now - just thought I would drop the news!

Nope - its a genuine boat - bought as a Xmas by me for a 14 year old - but its only about 40 inches long!.

Actually in researching this model boat market I was amazed to find that many do 60 mph! Thats some speed for a boat of about 4 foot or so.

Settled for one a bit slower than that with better sea keeping.

Beleive it or not they have surface props, trim tabs the lot! There was a whole world out there I never knew about.

I tried to buy a jet one but no luck, had to settle for props. Got the deep V hull to cope with reasonable waves.

Reckon fuel consumption is over 1000 mpg.

Anyway it should knock spots of my Princess.

They say it will handle well in a force 0.4 to 0.5.

So its ideal for the calmer days in the Bristol Channel.

Hhmmm. Cant see it doing so well in Bristol channel. Stop, Maybe olright on Bristtol park pond. Stop. My mate wants to bring his new toy airoplane with floaty things, down to Plymouth. Stop. I cant see it some how. And why need a floaty thingy anyway. Stop.....................
