Glomax tv aerial AIS

Apologies if I’m asking a daft question but I thought if it works I can leave it up there till I need other work done and replace it with a bespoke antenna.
Boat in Med and use smart TV. Have an old Glomax aerial (pancake type).
Could I use it as the antenna for AIS transceiver .

No can do.

You cannot also use the coax as it’s wrong impedance

AIS and UHF TV signals are in completely different frequency bands and can only be used with an antenna specific to their bands.

Thanks for reply’s. At least I can use the old coax as a mouse.

be careful when mounting, ideally it needs to be at a different height to the VHF antenna.
