Hi All,
This is probably a bit of a long shot but its worth a try.
I have a windy 25, it has a stainless steel framed windscreen, with a separate centre section of glass which hinges to form a door for access to the bow - you can see a reasonable photo of what I mean here
Description Windy 25 Mirage, power yacht - YachtJourney
It seems that the glass in this centre section has come loose from the stainless frame, which is causing the frame to distort like a paralelogram and not close properly. If you pull one corner of the frame you can see the glass moving and the frame distorting . So it looks like what is used to keep the glass secured in place in the frame has failed allowing the whole frame to distort.
Does anyone know how glass is typically fixed in these type of frames, is it with some adhesive sealant from a tube applied with a gun, or is it typically some preformed rubber gasket which is pressed into the frame/glass?
any insight would be welcome.
Cheers
