I’m looking for a model of Gipsy Moth..I believe a few years ago some copies were made to raise money for her.Tried usual searches EBay Google etc but nothing.Anyone have a link?

Ive made many boat models over the years so had have a good look on that site.
Funny that you mention Colin Archer as I've just been given a 20ft open day/sailing boat designed by him.

Congrats! A double-ender I presume? There's a Colin Archer historian, a really nice chap, called Jeppe Jul Nielsen, a Norwegian (speaks good English) who told when I was over there, that he's working on a huge definitive book about Archer and his designs, he would be interested to hear about her. And he could probably tell you her history etc. He has a website etc.
He helped John Leather write 'Colin Archer and the Seaworthy Double-Ender'.

Thanks all yes I did see that at £1200 ...I originally thought the Gipsy Moth trust had a couple of hundred using wood from original keel as base. They were around £150 I believe jus thought some of these might be still around somewhere. Thanks all

Yes I have 1 & yes seem to remember they were made from material (Keel ?) from GM my Dad (much missed) bought it for me. I have to say its not the most solid of construction Guardwires & bits of the rig have come away and dangle a bit !
All its ever done is sit on a shelf - (unless kids got hold of it when they were young.)
The stand is different to the 1 in the pic & I may have a cheaper (1200???) replica nauticalia fare or similar I really dont know. GM herself - hull & super structure is nicely made and pleasing to someone who has seen her on numerous occasions from when she came in to the present day. - I like it and im not really a model type person. I cant see the old man buying anything much less than top notch. Let me know if you want a pic.
PS Yes £ 150 sounds about right

No problem can you send either a PM with your email or a contact via our website in my signature at the bottom.
(The PM maytake me a few days to see but will keep an eye open)
Cheers
