Gibbs Winches

I Know that the forum is not for sales and wants, but I have a serious request, I have on my Westerly 30 , 4 Gibbs tufnol winches.

2 Large and 2 small, one of the larger winches is missing one of the "Paws" the other two paws are worn therefore not able to winch in.

Can any body suggest where I might require these, either new or secondhand, Westerly spares put me in touch with "Wilf" at South Coast Marine who does not have any or knows not where they can be located.

Does anybody have any old Gibbs Tufnol winches kicking around in their garage? will pay for postage or collect if needed. Thanks in advance.

Hello Morrigh, why dont u take a "PAW" to C.G.REES on north road.
You can get brass or ali plate take it to work get one or two cut out, worth a try!!!!

Greetings oh illustrious one!!
If you take the last posts advice and get some brass plate of the same thickness. Its not going to be that difficult to cut new teeth, as long as we have a pattern to work off. Give me a bell,or meet me at your other half,s (could never spell that damm word) tomorrow night.And i'l get on the case.

Make your own pawls (or have them cut out of bronze plate) by a laser cutter.

You'll also find you've got problems with the springs lacking tension.
