Usually OK though can be windy in the Straights. However, there have been several reports on these forums (e.g. <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.ybw.com/cgi-bin/forums/showthreaded.pl?Cat=&Board=ym&Number=424221>HERE</A>) of people caught out on the autumn Canaries run. Possibly because so many yachts make this passage, and for many it will be their first that it longer than is covered by reliable forecasting.
