evening,

Now I am going to tell you a story. I was out on my boat a little while ago and was doing a 90 mile crossing on route around 30 miles in to it, the port drive lifted up on its own accord without my hand on the trim tab. So any how I had a look and pressed the trim tab button down, and the drive went down, I started off again around ten minutes later it happened again now I looked round and my missus was asleep so I took her out of the equation. and luckily for me she was asleep as I don,t think I could of handled her panic and might of had a man over board situation. So Some what puzzled I put the trim tab down and lowered the drive. carried on and it happened 2 more times. in around ten miles then it never happened again. and we slipped off to a port of safety 20 miles away. Now I know that days out at sea can have an effect on your mind and i might of been drinking rum the night before. but this happened to me.

Anyway I was wondering if anybody has a similar experience or may know a sane explanation on what could of caused this

thanking your replies in advance

regards

Danny

Aye the sea can play tricks on you. Conwy estuary harbour is pitch black at night with just the twinkling lights ashore to give you perspective on how alone you are. About a month ago I saw a bright star. Much brighter than anything in the heavens and I thought this must be what the Star of Bethlehem looked like. Then I thought aircraft landing lights. But they swayed and didn't move. I realised I was looking at a bloody UFO!! I ran for my camera, zoomed in and saw it appeared to be attached to a rather tall mast. In fact it was the forgotten anchor light on my neighbouring ketch. In fairness it was a bottle of red late into the evening, but only 1 bottle
