Another reason why I don't like Apple products ...

How do I access the kmz files to send to my PC for editing. They seem to be there but I have just updated from the os4 to os5 and that may have caused some problems with the reinstall of Navionics app. There does appear to be a share (email) facility but it's not allowing me to access the tracks I collected over the past few months which I had stored. When I input 'track 12' say, it just says there is one of that name already there.

Can I mount the iPad as a disk (as can be done with Android)?

Press Menu
Tracks
Select track
Top left hand corner, to right of track name, press arrow
"Mail"

My menu options are slightly different, but emailing via that option doesn't work (as I suggested). Is there some way to access the file system?

I just did that on my iPad, with OS 7.1.2. Perhaps it's a different version of Navionics on yours.

I don't think you can access the file system, unless your jailbreak your ipad, which is a lot of hassle.

You might be able to using: http://www.i-funbox.com/

But it will likely be tricky to locate the files. Worth a go though...

Thanks for that - it allows access to files (which were easy to find). But they are called .trk rather than .kmz so not sure whether they can be opened. Any ideas?
