No one's mentioned Rowhedge up the Colne yet.
Two waterside pubs, with meals, and the Co-op less than 100 metres up the road.
There's a pontoon that will take an average sized boat or you can lie to the wall and dry out.
I believe that honesty requires you search out the warden and pay, but for shopping and a pint or two ................?
