Morning. I was in Stangate Creek on the Medway on Monday. With three kids, some of them teenagers, there is a need to ashore on occasion. We clambered up the steep seawall about half way down on the east side, but I would not recommend it. Are there any easy'ish ways of getting ashore when it isn't high tide?

South side. Lower Halstow. Only with a dinghy and not at low tide though.

Queenborough is a very different experience.

Slaughterhouse point on the west side is seaweed covered rocks down to low water. About the only place to get a dog ashore for emptying!
East side,Chetney hill & barksore marshes landing usually attracts a highly miserable & unfriendly farmer. Top half of Sharfleets creek is a better bet as at low water you can land on the old oyster beds & find all sorts of interesting archeaology going back thousands of years.

Was down there weekend before last, and we suffer the same problem so we leave the hound at my mothers when we go and stay the night (we, like you, took our three kids, ours taking less space, aged 0, 3 and 6). Where we anchored I did look at the east bank at low water and thought it looked pretty accessible to get ashore. Bit worried about being shot at by an irate farmer really....

Is there where you clambered up?
