2 smaller units make the ducting plumbing a lot easier and also sub 9000 BTU units (ish) use a different technology and don't have a pump so they are much quieter.

We have reverse cycle AC and find that once the sea temperture drops below 10d the unit is just a luke warm draft and we need to have a seperate heater to keep the boat at a comfortable level, the current drawn on reverse cycle with pump running is 12A,
Only neeed to run as cooling about 10 times in the last 2 years, the humidify operation is effective during the winter months keeping the boat dry.
You may find the choice of generator rating is boarder line.
