Generator in Lazarette

We want to have a generator installed around 4kva but dont want to part with the £7 to £8K it would cost to supply and install. We have a large lazarette and have seen a diesel electric start self contained 5kva Kippor unit for £555.00

Would this work? I guess we would need to duct the exhaust or rig an extractor fan. Should think we would be able to wire a remote start and the unit runs for 9 hours on a tank of fuel.
Your thoughts would be appriciated

171 Kilos, thats a chunk of weight to be carting around , but i must admit to thinking of something like that myself . Would definately need some kind of positive fresh air ventilation though .

Not very silent really !

"Noise level (zero load/full load) 70-74[dBA]" That is A, at 7 metres ! Roughly the noise of a busy street.

However it's a useful size, and if you are not going to run it continuously (see their caveat in the ad !), it will give you reasonable family power.

If you set up a fan, you need an extract one to make the lazarette a negative pressure zone.

Seems I overlooked that, at 171 kg its a beast.
