Gearbox issue

I have an issue with the my boat as a result of getting a rope tangled round my propeller.
The boat is a merry fisher 695.
The engine is a Nanni T4.155.
The propeller will only run anticlockwise, regardless of what gear it's in. It also runs anticlockwise when the boat is in neutral.
Anyone any ideas. ?

It is in neutral and the prop is still turning in the anticlockwise direction
That suggests the clutch is dragging.?
What I have now also noticed is that if you turn the engine off, the prop is stiff to turn by hand in neutral, but is Isn't any stiffer to turn in forward or in stern gear.?

Sounds like the gearbox is fritzed, one set of clutches may be fritzed or it may be the shift/clutch mechanism. It should be a ZF25a gearbox. Might be worth trying an oil and filter change if the oil smells burnt but it's likely snagging the rope will have knackered the clutch.

I have attached a photo of the gearbox name plate.
Does anyone know how to deduce the ZF number of the box from the info on the plate.
Does anyone know if the company Hurth still exists.
I can't find them on the internet.

I agree sounds like clutch plate damage which could be from the fouled prop.
a broken / cracked clutch plate could act as you describe.
If it is damage from a fouled prop perhaps you should inform your insurers as it could be expensive.
new clutch kit £720 plus labour

Does anyone have any information on the gearbox and damper assembly.
drawings videos or illustrated parts list
The engine is a Nanni T4.155 and the gearbox is a ZF45A and the damper is a weard looking thing.,?

I don,t know if anyone can help.
What's are the issues around fitting a replacement Gearbox.
It's a ZF45A with 2.03 ratio's the only box I can source of the shelf has 2.4 ratio,s.
Is this ok or can you advise what the implications are in doing this.
Thanks

Hi
Does anyone have any information on a coupling damper part number:
Centa CF-R-114
A illustrated parts list or an assembly drawing would be great.
Thanks

Thanks I've seen that document unfortunately it doesn't contain any information about the CF-R-114 That I can see.
Thanks

I have some files to share. Unfortunately two of them too big to be allowed here as attachments, but PM me your email and I'll send them over:

Hi
Does anyone know where I could get a new propeller shaft.
It seems I have a shaft issue as the new Gearbox has not resolved all the problems.

Have you checked your engine mounts ? Extra torque ( momentarily before the g box went bang ) could have been transferred to them during the rope entanglement and moved or distorted them = miss alignment issue .
