Gearbox drive coupling

This is te gearbox coupling between my Perkns 4236 and my borg warner gearbox


Any one know how to remove it frm the flywheel as I need to remove the flywheel to get at the seal and main bearings

Yes, undo the bolts. I take it you have a problem due to water having sat in the housing, looking at the rust. Worth fitting a new one, maybe, have a close look at the plastic element anyway.

Yes the engine sat for some time with water in the boat and caued the engine to cease and would not turn

I emove it from the boat so I can strip it down to fix it.

I have not come across a drive plte like this only the type like a clutch plate without friction material bolted to the flywheel with shock springs just like a car clutch plate

Thanks for the info now I an at home I can investigate further and get it bak working
