Gas system test pressure

The molecular structure of the gas does come in to play. Probably not noticeable on the level your playing with but it most certainly has an affect.
Try 300bar pressure testing on air/nitrogen, no problem..
10 bar of helium..... Ahaha, like a sieve.....

Have no doubt whatsoever but as you say, we are dealing here with itsy bitsy little 6mm or 8mm yacht cooker supplies from, normallya small cylinder living out in the open. Let us not get too paranoid!
