Woke up this morning and the gas wouldn't work.

Worked fine yesterday but not today. Gas bottle is full, and a quick tap with a hammer on e regulator fixed it for a bit.
However the flame dies really quickly. Thus my regulator is caput.

It is a Sirius bulkhead mounted unit and the local chandlers don't have a spare.

For now its not a problem as we have an electric kettle and toaster , as well as many pubs to eat in.

My question is; is there any way of " unsticking" the regulator or is it just a question of replacing it when we get home?

Many thanks

I had a problem with my regulator and replaced it but after further forensics it turned out to be that the pressure equalizing port was blocked. So I cleared it with a bit of wire and it is now a serviceable spare. Not familiar with your model though.

I kept a sticking 50mB regulator working for years with occasional squirts of WD40 in each end ..... because I simply could not source a 50mB replacement anywhere. Certainly NOT RECOMMENDED , but on the other hand didn't seem to do any harm. (The 50mB fridge itself eventually died for non-gas reasons).
