I've bought Camping Gas in Guadaloupe and Martinique but not noticed it elsewhere in the WI.

Conventional butane and propane cylinders can be refilled on all the islands. I took the small Calor Gas cylinders.

the normal calor tanks are ok, they tend to fill them with a butane propane mix, and when they fill them stand well clear they don't mess about with slow opening of valves you get it all at once, and normally more than the tank is designed for (we had ours vent twice) everything is good until you get to the US some places will fill your calor tanks some won't, but a twenty pound tank is only about $35 dollars at the moment so it won't break the bank, however the tank is wider and taller than calor bottles so some gas lockers are not big enough.........keith

camping gaz in the french islands- martinique, guadeloupe, st barths, st martin. elsewhere any calor propane cylinder can be refilled. the big nono is trying to refill a butane cylinder on an english-speaking island. they only use propane which has a much much higher pressure and could burst the cylinder. i used calor 13kg propane which lasted about 6 weeks and had no problems. (this side of the atlantic was a different story)
