I am intending to do an extended cruise of the southern Spanish coast for some months and will need to buy gas locally. Can someone advise me re the type gas bottles and how I get them, I assume my calor gas will not be re-fillable there. Also I may have to leave the boat for some time and am concerned about security. does anyone know of any type of 'immobiliser ' for a yacht or a way oy immobilising other than removing injectors.
Thank you

You can get "Gaz" cylinders and suitable regulator here in the UK. Gaz is very widly available in Spain and much cheaper than here too.

Most house heating in Spain is by gas cylinders so gas is freely available and cheap. However, the regs are tight and the Spanish seem to stick to them - no chance of decanting from the usual camping gas to calor.unless its diy.

spain has its own equivalent of calor which uses 13/15 kg exchange cylinders (butane or propane). if you are there for a long time it would probably be worth getting a cylinder or two and buying a connector to suit.
