Garmin GPSMap 550

Hi All,

just a short information for all 550-Users (dunno if 450 is included):
Garmin issued a recall of some units because of navigation-error, NMEA-error and sat-reception error.

There is no info on their website yet but my dealer contacted me yesterday and told me that, based on serial-numbers, Garmin will repair/exchange some units (unfortunately mine /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

If you use such a unit I would propose that you contact your dealer.

So they have admitted to the problem. !!!!

We were in the Solent & our 550 gave our position as Winchester High Street /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
