Garmin GHS 10i Spares

Does anyone have any spares for the Garmin or know where I might be able to get a hand set cable.
Its all working but the cable has started to fall apart but still works and I cant find any on google unless you replace the whole system!

Cable is a standard nmea 2000 from memory. eBay !

GHS 10 as in the wired handset for Garmin's recent VHFs?
cable is fixed on the handset, and has a multipin socket on the other side, so not a normal N2K cable. There's a N2K cable to connect the VHF300 device to the network not to the handset.

Doubt you're going to find it, as it needs the handset opened up and reconnected/soldered, haven't opened mine so don't know how it's inside...

The hand mic cable on my VHF200 starting disintegrating last year. I contacted Garmin who took the unit back and provided me with an entire replacement radio for something like £90. Speak to Garmin, they are typically very helpful.

Thanks guys I will try Garmin Europe, I did try a marine spares before but they said it was discontinued although you can buy the whole handset from the US for £230!

Just an update with an hour this morning they have agreed to change it at a cost of £43 so we are happy all round and excellent service!!

Glad you got it sorted. I have found a Garmin support to be unreal. They sent me a new suncover FOC that I was happy to purchase, for a plotter that stopped being made a good few years ago.

I then went on to spend £200+ on cables and other bits......their approach works.

It does indeed, I was similarly impressed with my first contact with them that I refitted the boat with an entire Garmin suite. (I can't say the same for all their dealers though).

Yeah...I found that. A dealer said they don’t make a certain part anymore....found it on the Garmin website!

I just go direct to the support team now.

The number on their signature block is 0808 238 0000, but that is possibly the office switchboard.
