I have the the Garmin Blue chart App on my iPad.
Got the app when it first came out and the charts to go with it at the time were very cheap.
Im currently in the Med and have navigated my way from U.K. To Channel Islands, to France, to Spain, to Morocco, to Italy using it.
I have the The North West Europe blue chart for iPad v2012 (think it was only about £25)
every year there is an update to the chart but the prices go up every year so I never updated.
The one annoying omission of the chart is the French inland waterways, (I like using the canals as well as the open sea)
The new 2017 version is now out but at well over £100 (for an update?) appeares extortionate, (rocks don't move around much so very little of relevance changes). However if the inland waterways are now included in the chart it would make the update worthwhile. I cannot find anything on Garmin description of the chart to indicate if the inland waterways, rivers and canals of France are part of the chart.
If you have an iPad with the latest Garmin Blue Chart Northwest Europe v2017 please can you zoom in on central France to see if the rivers and canals are now there and let me know.
Thank you for looking.
