Hi
I have Garmin Atlantic BlueChart and a garmin 12 hand held gps. I have
linked my pc to the garmin and can then use the tracking option on
land i.e citymaps etc.
How ever if I change over to my atlantic map and gps detail as soon
as i start tracking I loose all map detail.
Any ideas?

Which charts have you activated? The CD covers a huge area, and you need to purchase codes to activate charts within that area

I thought I had found it in the garmin settings. For tracking it should be set to nmea/none, but it didnt seem to make a difference.

Received this from Garmin.

Thank you for contacting the GARMIN Europe cartography department (
cartography.europe@garmin.com ).

We are sorry to tell you that you are unable to use your GPS12 for Real
Time Plotting with BlueCharts on your PC. The only function available to
the GPS12 with BlueChart is Waypoint and Route management.
