We have been using a a Garmin 45 this season, pretty impressed as it was a freebie, however we haven't been able to get the trip working. The book states that there a trip function , but on ours their is no trip function on any of the pages. Any idea?

I havew a garmin gps 48.
The owners manual (under Position Page) refers to Trip Odometer (TRIP) -
total distance travelled since last reset. It refers to TRIP as a user-selectable option available on the position page.

It says TO RESET TIMER, SPEED MEASUREMENT, OR ODOMETER:
1. Highlight the user selectable field, and press ENTER.
2. Press ENTER to confirm or QUIT to exit.
The trip odometer, trip timer, and average speed are linked.
Resetting one of these options in a user selectable field will automatically reset the corresponding data in the other.

Not sure if this helps.

Duke.
