Garmin 120XL failure

Despite repeated initialisation, over the last 2 seasons my 120XL has become increasingly liable to fail to acquire satelites or lose them once found. The connection to the ariel cable is ok but I'm told that the ariel itself is prone to corrosion and this might be the cause. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Contact Garmin tech support....

previously on these BBs others have said how good their after sales service is so I suggest asking them via the web site (www.garmin.com)

I e-mailed them recently and had a reply within 24 hours. I also know of cases of Garmin equipment failure where they have replaced almost immediately with no charge. They have an excellent reputation for both the quality of their equipment and for their service.
