Garmin 12 or12XL?

Having bought a 12 as a companion to the 126 it is very good but not as sensitive as a fixed unit with external aerial. Also with four batteries being used per day it can get expensive to use.

Ive got a fixed 65 which is getting on a bit so intend to replace that with a GPS plotter when I have finished paying for everything else...

Never used batteries yet, plug it into ciggy lighter socket. Also as I said with the XL you get an input to he external aerial, BIG signal
