My wife wants me to purchase a couple of games to play on the boat,
I suggested Connect 4 which did not go down well, or my new made up game spot the cheap fuel
berth.Jokes aside, any suggestions as I am out of date, need games for 2 people only

A few suggestions; A couple of packs of cards which take up little stowage offers the widest variety of games, from ‘Snap’ to ‘Bridge‘, as well as Solitare.
We have a couple of small compendiums of games, one has the more common, Chess , Draughts, Backgammon and Ludo,
the other has some traditional seafaring games (see attached pic’)which includes ‘Batten Down the Hatches‘ (sometimes known as Shut the Box) Crown and Anchor, Crew, Going to Boston, Yacht and Scuttlebutt.

Monopoly deal. It’s a much quicker version of the board game in playing card format. Has a slightly evil fun side to it, is quick to pick up, takes no space…. And try Bananagrams too.
