galvanic isolator danger?

I have fitted a galvanic isolator to my boat. It is now ashore and chocked up so the negative side of my DC system is no longer in contact with ground/water. Is the AC earth adequately grounded through the isolator or could I run into problems? Your thoughts would be gratefully received.

One of the two objectives of a galvanic isolator is to maintain an earth connection, as part of the shore power installation, for the usual safety purposes. That function will remain unaffected by being ashore.

The second objective is to protect vulnerable parts of your boat from the effects of stray low voltage currents flowing from the water and completing their circuit back to their source via the shore power earth. This is, of course, irrelevant once ashore.

The connection, or otherwise, of the boats low voltage DC circuits do not really come into the equation as far as the galvanic isolator is concerned.
