Gallions Point Marina - changes on the way

As reported on here a long time ago, the future of Gallions Point has been in doubt.
I happened to phone today with a query, and the call was rerouted to someone working for (I think) a property company. The marina has been taken over, today.
Basically the message was that some assessment will be happening over the next month or two, after which a decision may be made to keep the marina going for 'a few years', or close it.
A sad sad day for the family who built the business.

Could be something quite special there but would need a huge investment.

Gallions Point Marina has been repossessed by GLAP (Greater London Authority) and is under management of RoDMA (Royal Docks Management Authority) and a partner. Owners of items stored on the property have until 26 October to contact management regarding access and continuation of contracts.



Notice on marina entrance gate. RoDMA now also have control of the land which was previously leased to Gallions Point Marina. Vessels stored on the hard standing have notices attached to inform owners.
