Hi all,

I just got my P50 MK3 and I'm delighted with it. She's equipped with the Furuno Navnet 3D. I was thinking of upgrading to the new Navnet TZ2. Furuno gave me a demo last week and I was really impressed, but as you all know the cost of changing electronic is quite high.

The current Navnet 3d, is not the simple to use but more importantly I have a problem with the map. They tell me that I have the latest JEPPESEN CMap on it. Great!! no so fast!!!

I looking at it, scrolling and panning, and realise that few details seem to be missing. As an example the submerged barrier between Portsmouth and horse sand fort!

Now I was wondering if maybe a Navionics map would give me more details..

Hi, I'm a great fan of the nn3d and have it working really well and easily on Play d'eau. The difference is that I use raster charts and not vector, so the question I have is whether the set up of the vector chart on the nn3d program stops it from being displayed. Have you checked this?

I have a 2009 P42 that had navnet 3d installed, I replaced mine last year with Navnet TZ touch, an amazing bit of kit. I have also gone away from navionics charts and installed Cmap as they have slightly better detail on heights etc.

I use the navionics app on my ipad so have the best of both worlds when planning a journey.

Really like the P50 Mk111 saving pennies at the moment :)

Anyone you , you want Bazsers set up, even I can use it, been on sea trials with him, great piece of kit.
 
I have Raster and C-Map on my NN3D. Both work OK and I can flip flop between them without problem
