My mother always used the words de-thaw in relation to food from the freezer.

My favorite this time of year is the local paper headlines, POLICE ZERO TOLERANCE TO DRINK DRIVEING. So the rest of the year if you are over the limit you get a slap on the wrist and sent on your way.
