How about a slow boat race? You'd need to get nominal handicaps for each boat to avoid favouring any 3KSBs.
Pick a destination. All start at the same time. Last one there on corrected time wins and gets their entry fee back plus maybe a joke trophy. Others get the better seats in the pub.
