We will be taking our travelling a Bit further East and North up the Oare and the Alde next week.
We shall mainly be engaged in loafing and bodging, and not necessarily in that order.
I have some mid and advanced level bodges to complete, or not.
Stuff that I have collected for 'upgrades' and stuff that has been broke for a while.

I also have some culcher in the form of a tome or two to idly browse, hoping the hammock might see some use.

I also will be doing tension testing on the warps up at Snape with a bit of luck, so I can round off education with a bit more cuclher at the Theatre.

If you see us, please come over and say hello.

We will be kicking off the Grand Tour at Fambridge on Saturday, and finishing the following Saturday at the Pirates Weekend.

MHUE2, out.

1st bodge completed.
Separated bent motorcycle footpeg from bent footpeg mounting bracket. Tools used: Hammer and drift.

2nd bodge under way. Industrial quantity of water system cleaner applied to both tanks and pipes. The boat smells like a swimming pool.

3rd bodge put a double bend kink in the square frying pan folding handle, so it now clears the fiddle rail and crash bar. Been meaning to do that for 2 years.

Now going to read the Grab Bag book again until the deeps gauge moves from 1.4m to 2.2m, then off to Fambridge for the Roach Sailing Association pre dinner drinks.

and HWMO says a hearty thankeee.

(ps not coming to fambridge as have just fallen down a hole and my knee is the size and shape of rugby ball, so have retreated to sofa with biblical epic on tv and packet of macaroons, pot of tea and wounds to lick :().

Ooh get better soon!!

Well, sitting here at anchor in the entrance to the Roach.

Fixed the anchor chain marking system to the inside of the anchor locker lid today. Also readjusted the saloon locker door hinges. Busy day.

Finally got round to fixing the foam insulation with tie wraps around the guard wires under the dodgers. Another job off the 2+ year list.

Heavy night at Fambridge, feeling a bit jaded today.Popping up to Walton Backwaters tomorrow, or possibly Erwarton Ness

Hi Roger, its a TP Link TL-WN422G but there is a newer model TP Link TL-WN722N which is around £9.50 on Amazon.

We was just about to lock out of Shotley marina (following a sucessful out break of Bodging on the Heads headlining) when the lock told Full Circle that they would have to wait for the next lock.
We had to go and could not wait.
We thought that we may exchange pleasantries as we passed in the channel to the lock.
Image our disappointment when we discovered that the boat calling herself Full Circle was not the real thing but an imposter (Moody 38 centre cockpit or some such).

Hope the rest of your week goes well Jim.

I think it is a 336. Nice boat.

Dunno anymore though Neil.....

Well, cracking passage at 6am this morning, very peaceful night at anchor in the Roach, beautiful sunshine, breakfast on the go. Now sitting at anchor in Erwarton Ness, just had a Tapas lunch with a crisp chilled bottle of Sauvignon.
This afternoons work is cleaning/renovating all the teak. Who knows, I might even clean and polish the topsides. But if the weather continues to be sunny, I think I will go into loafing mode.

If you are at a loss for something to do Jim, I can recommend pulling up at halfpenny pier at Harwich and picking up some seafood from the stall at the entrance, some shell on prawns and a dressed crab with a little mayonaise to go with the sauvignon n'est pas?
If you follow the road past the old dockyard entrance and walk a couple of 100m there is a pub on the left (cant remember name) he keeps a very good pint.

Weather now looking not so good, so may stay in Orwell tomorrow.
Have now cleaned the whole cockpit area, and cleaned and reinflated all 12 fenders. Picky or what?
Crikey, even gave the ensign staff a lick of varnish and paint.
Just re-qhipping the mooring line ends now before last night cap.

As it is a late start tomorrow morning, I will have time to do all the teak with Wessex Renovator (and Yes Sean, I will collect it eventually!!!)

It is just soooo nice to be on the boat for a week.
