Fuel tank leak

I’m sure it’s not Bouba……maybe it’s a ‘doggy thing’??

Captain Albert (aka Cornona Mia) appreciates the finer things in life……….like yourself. ?

Good restaurants……..

And ‘Pee Pee’ beach………

At 9am this morning, very close to the Pee Pee beach…………

He still wanted to know what was for lunch!?

Thanks Bouba……..Captain Albert sends his best wishes.

I hope you guys will be able to post a great picture tomorrow ….and the re-launch goes to plan. ?

Maybe just something like………it’s fixed and now we’re going to enjoy the boat.???

Lots of us have been there before……..but maybe not all of us admit it.

Bouba will be twitching like a rabbits nose tomorrow now ?
I am now entering my Zen like state of being...I am calm...I remember all the stages of preparing the boat to start the engine...I remember all my sea faring skills...calmness will descend on the bridge... the crew will also never forget (and she never does)

I would have gone for “ Clef en main “ adopted that approach.

Turned up Fr Pm assuming it’s been put in Wed and they debugged it .
But i wouldn’t have set off until a confirmatory e mail etc to say it was ready to go from the yard .

A lot of stuff needs prof testing , leaks , weeps etc , fuel line hic ups Tank swarf swilling about in the delicate Cummins CR system etc etc .
Shaft vibration, shaft seal installation…..is it correct ? The right part etc etc .

Mad ness just dropping it in a cursory look at the ER and sailing off into the sunset 1/2 hr later .

Good look anyhow which ever way it goes ?

The engineers will give it a test run in the water...then hopefully, all being well, we will drop them and go on our way

tbh, considering nothing mechanical was changed, assuming the guys that did the work are not complete numpties, you have nothing to worry about!
drips from hoses that where removed when engine was taken off, that sort of thing, easy to spot and correct.

Sounds more like it ? Make it a long one get some heat into the ER , stuff expands when hot .
I’ve brought my temperature gun to keep an eye on things..to be honest the part I’m most concerned about is the new shaft seal…but it’s a common part so the yard shouldn’t have any problem
