Fuel tank leak

Well done
Looks like a great day for a blast !
Goes well dunnit

last trawler I went on did 8knots and had I dunno, 80 years of character smells ?

Have you figured the new tanks capacity relative to the old or maybe not topped it off just yet..
Well, that’s another tale….
The day started well, it was hot hot hot and we spent a lot of time standing under boats trying to keep cool…but we launched on time, and the mast was raised and everything made shipshape. They only had a little fuel in the tank from what they scavenged from the old tank…so our first trip was to the pleasure port and the fuel dock..the mechanic was with us…we put 300 litres in and the gauge read zero!
The mechanic tried to fix it but to no avail so he will visit tomorrow with more equipment

Ah, sorry I asked
But 300l sounds like a good start.
You might not be buying the beers until tomorrow though of course

The yard sound rather conscientious ??

The ride home was about 15 miles which we did at a steady 10knts in fact I didn’t touch the throttle the whole trip…and every so often I would check the temperatures with my lazer gun…all temperatures were rock steady.
So, apart from the little electric gremlin from the tank sender to the gauge the first shake down cruise went incredibly well…the weather and conditions were perfect.
@vas I did make a little film and when I remember how to post I will

good, took some time though...

re sender, did they swapped your old one or did it come with a new (guess shorter) one?

V

So a very exhausting day, physically and emotionally.
One big problem with a one way trip is the car…we took a taxi to the put in place and after docking in our home port the wife said she wants to walk home…it’s five kilometres on the beach all the way with the sea on one side and a bird sanctuary on the other…

Anyhow I am now a sweaty puddle of knackeredness

Glad it's going well Bubs Bilgex and Fabreeze over the rest of the season should eventually get the boat sweet smelling don't know about you and the mutt though ?
Enjoy the rest of the yearn do you have aircon? it's been 39°C up here today and the pool was 30°C:(

I asked that before the launch...and it’s a new sender (which they tested and was working) so it’s still calibrated from empty to the new full level
