Fuel tank leak

I’ve been using baking soda so far...
I’ve had the mattresses airing outside for two months or more and they still smell
Perhaps the boatyard know a trick or two as well
FYI be careful with any steam cleaner as they can mark synthetic upholstery

Once the tank is out you may wish to point M Beneteau at this thread and ask for a bit of goodwill…
Lots and lots of views =customers ?

The marina of port Frejus (I had a berth there years ago) had a portable bilge-vacuum trolley thing, quite large (I think 500lt capacity) just for cleaning bilges. I guess marina in the area should have something similar.

Unfortunately they are the biggest boat manufacturers in the world....and I expect they can’t keep up with demand

Do you mean the thing for evacuating black tanks?‍♂️?

Latest news....there is a snag....apparently my boat was the last of the old fuel tank installation design....in order to get the tank out something has to be cut...the yard don’t want to proceed until they have the go ahead from the Beneteau factory and then confirmation in writing from us. What needs cutting I’m not sure..but apparently they don’t install tanks that way anymore....so it’s a delay...and possibly extra expense...I don’t know...but I’m not going to lose sleep over it...there are always unforeseen stages in boat repairs

Very true and good way to look at it. It’s in bits….that’s the main thing. Nothing gets done until things are in bits! ?

I wonder why they don't instal tanks like that anymore.

Are you going to investigate what the change was and see if they can incorporate it into your tank.
When I visit the boat (possibly tomorrow) I hope to have a clearer idea of the situation and will throw it out to the panel for you all to digest (this is where you get the opportunity to cost me another season)
