Fuel tank leak

As discussed before you cant really air pressure test a rectangular type tank beyond a couple of psi because the sides will buckle so my guess would be it has not been tested, bearing in mind the original tank failed Bouba would be in his rights to ask what testing and see certification before its installed. As it is CE marked there should be document pack with the tank.

Assuming Benny remembered to make a smaller tank is there much difference in capacity?
Personally I would have thought a little reinforcement at the mounting brackets to spread loads rather than faitly small brackets welded straight onto the tank.

I think the tank went from 800 litres to 630 litres

iirc you test to about 2.2 psi and see if it holds the pressure . you dont need anymore.

Cardboard and duct tape would have been my choice

Why won’t it happen again , spilling slightly less this time ?

Ok…so prepping the tank begins today and then it should be about three days to put back the motor etc

Great news! Hope the engine is OK. It’s been sat outside for some time and they rot pretty quick….this was after 2 months!
