New engine, new fittings....everything! But a dirty fuel tank with no inspection hatches and two baffles. Too big to come out, too good to cut out. Where can I get two or three inspection hatches to install simply. I have seen the Wema Inspecton hatch on the Tek Tank website but cannot find it on the web to buy. Any ideas`?

if i was you i would make my own if its a metal tank and has flat sides. all you need is some sheet stainless or mild steel whichever the tanks made of i would suggest 2 or 3mm thick. cut the hole in the tank 25mm smaller all the way round in the tank. make up an gasket out of rubber sheet. drill the holes in the cover first then use it as a template to drill the tank. would't take more than a couple of hours to do. the safest way to cut the hole in the tank is with a jigsaw.

Second attempt at a reply - just got back from rather nice Traditional German dinner with girlfriends ex-mother in law and, unlike previous experiences in the UK, I live to tell the tale. Many thanks PVB, I did look at the tektank website but failed to find the hatch for sale. Had planned to call them tomorrow but now no need. Having looked at them closely though, I have to say the one bolt through the centre seems to leave allow some lateral movement, not unlike wot the Aquavit I drank all night has left me with!!! Hic! I will give them a go though and report back! hic. Phew, a winter in Denmark plays havoc on your liver and your typing!!! Ta.

I have a drawing detailling the inspection cover I fitted the on the side of my fuel tank.
I made all the fitting plate and backing ring myself and I could send you the drawing if you like.
PM me if you want a copy.
