Hello!
I recently bought a second hand fuel tank for my outboard that didn't come with one. Do you know what brand of fuel connector this mates with? Thank you

It looks like that connector is damaged. If you look at the links @jfm and I posted, the right hand tube has a an extra piece in the middle which might explain why you can't find anything that looks like it. When you push the connector on the middle bit pushes in releasing the petrol. Without that bit it'll either not release the petrol at all or when the connector is disconnected petrol will leak out. You're probably going to need to replace that bit. Or just buy a new tank and fuel line.

Thank you for you input everyone!

I've noticed something else. It's difficult to see from the photo but there are two plastic pins either side of the big fuel pin. These don't seem particularly standard among Johnson /evinrude connectors and I'm wondering if the valve is opened when they're pressed in by the black plastic housing of the mating connector. If that's the case it'd explain why there isn't a small valve pin poking out of the fuel port. Is this something you've seen before?

I don't see why else the plastic pins would be there, surely if they didn't get pressed in then it would prevent you from mating a standard connector?

I would give it a try but it's in storage at the moment and I don't have access to it!

Not sure but possibly those pins are a way of keeping the connector in place by applying a bit of pressure. I've got a feeling my old metal portable tank had them but they're not on my new plastic one (probably no help!).
