I have been trying to locate the web site mentioned in MBM that details fuel availability and prices but have forgotten the address (and left the mag behind)

Can anyone help please?

Unfortunately our site is not a lot of good to those of us who cannot accept vast quantities of fuel at a time. We lesser mortals with small recepticals and no room for druma oilatum have to pay at much higher rates that it mentions. I think this new site is going to be very helpful to us provided that the information is accurate and regularly updated.

The mag article said they were working around the coast, calling suppliers, and also asked for help from anyone with local knowledge

<hr width=100% size=1>Err, let me know if Depsol enters the forum, I'll go and hide

It's a great deal better. What would be great is if YBW bought the service and supplied it as a service similar to weather and tide info. Then they would have a large audience to update.

The ybw fuel forum is intermittent, and not readily searchable. The fuel site is easy to search by area and fuel type.

The forumites here could keep it updated far quicker than their present much appreciated endevours

Thats rubbish. The information is as good as you put into it. If you only buy a bit, say so and get it written down. By the way, Salcolmbe has now become the dearest place on the planet!!

The thing I noticed on the site is that it's up to us, the boating public, to keep them up to date with the current prices. Hopefully, two things will happen YBW will pass on the forum prices on here and a few of us will keep the Marine Fuel Price web site informed when we fillup.

One other point - how much diesel are you allowed to keep at home before you need permits etc etc??

Now now, calm down.
IMHO this new site is far easier to read and gives the info that owners of small boats need far better than does the MBY one.

I agree that our forum would be improved if we increased our own input. When I buy diesel I normally report what I've paid if it differs from my previous entry.

I still believe that the marinefuels site is in a far more user friendly format but I also agree that if it was taken on by MBY then it could benefit from our extra researchers.
Interestingly neither Dartmouth nor Salcombe have prices available on it. Devon Fuels are obviously embarassed about telling people how expensive they are.

Nothing on the Thames, yet... so I dropped them a note and will contribute when they open that section up... I'll give them my tuppenny worth. I support it! And I think, given MBM's coverage, they'll support it too.
Kim - any danger u can persuade Hugo to put a column into the magazine regulars - just a little one - lowest and highest prices by region... naming names, ideally, but not necessarily!
