Fuel price

What is it they are selling to boat owners over there now? Is it road fuel? Does it contain this dreaded bio gunk stuff that all the controversy is about over here?

Last summer in Hellefootsluis I paid 1euro 24c per litre when I filled up at the marina berth.Compare that to the price of red here.I paid £1.03 per litre for red from Suffolk Yacht Harbour when I got back.

About the same then marginally more expensive but you got white I suppose. The reason I asked the question was that when I re-engined 4 years ago I cleaned the fuel tank having been plauged by bug on and off for some years and filled up with Tescos best and maintained a clean bug free tank with white supermarket diesel untill last year I had to top up with red in Eastbourne. I have continued with white and now have nearly white fuel in the tanks and would like to keep it that way, so was planning to fill up in Belgium or Holland this year and just wondered what the cost differentials were.

I always buy diesel from the forecourt - 1.32 Euros today.

We were going to fill up at Rompot marina on the way back from Oostende last year - 1.70!!!!! At that time, the forecourt price was circa 1.10.
