fuel flow meter

Not cheap...

They're not cheap because they have to measure the flow in both feed and return lines and compute the difference. Navman 3200 looks good, but £500.

If you buy the Navman plotter, the functionality for display is already installed, thus reducing the overall cost of the two systems.

Diesel, too...

The latest Navman plotters (5605, etc) can give fuel data for diesel engines, too, according to the manuals.

Oops, you see, the signature is accurate /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Only going on my instuction manual for the 3200 kit which explicitly says it will not work with a plotter. Maybe mine is older stock and things have changed

Good point, but that is only true for petrol systems. The plotters wont handle the diesel system and comes with its own standalone screen (the size of a Raymarine ST60 etc)

Navman used to only be able to deal with petrol fuel flow, but in the last couple of years they added diesel functionality as well
