Pardon me, I'm out of touch with the diesel situation, how much is fuel for a leisure boat? I suppose it would be deductible for charter or other work.
Best not to look I find.
Absolutely no idea, just hand over the plastic and hope for the best
I like to remember the days when I bought my first boat and it was 40p a litre.
however a great day/weekend out with friends, beer, pod of dolphins diving through the wake/chasing the bow, sunshine and blue skies, swimming in the sea, arriving at a new harbour (OK one I have been to a few times but love) sunshine and blue skies (did I mention that). Quick shower, beer, best bib and tucker
(clean posh shorts - Marks and Spencer obs!, not the old ones that smell of diesel from when I made a mess of swapping the fuel filters/changed the oil/got the jelly fish out of the generator cooling water intake - is that just me? )
Gins and Tonics, Dinner in the harbour or a walk into town, beer (did I mention that?)
Forget the diesel, look at the wine list.
For some things there's Master Card, for everything else a Motor Boat - Priceless.

Pretty much road pump price for leisure then. There's a Nelson 42 for sale, twin Cummings 185s, £16k.....about £70 per hour cruising ....

....I remember the days when red was 5p a gallon.....
What year was that ?
Petrol was one shilling a gallon in 1910 - equivalent to 5p in new money.
