Brigantia will, in a matter of days, be off to pastures new

After much angst, we've decided to retain the name "Erbas" on the new pride and joy

That leaves me with a dilemma - what to do about my forum name?

So I put it to you, my friends - not that I shall abide by the result but it might be interesting (or not as the case may be)

I'm not the person to say seeing as when I joined the forum I didnt even realise that most people use boat names. Plenty around here using other monikers though. I use the same name for everyhtning I do on the web. Dont suppose anyone will care...we will know it's you and get used to it v quickly.

I get lots of people waving at me. So does the other boat called Full Circle on the East Coast.

The really smart name would be SabreErbas.

We have some other bloke called MoodySabre on here.

I was tempted to call my Sabre Moody then we would have had a Moody Sabre and a Sabre Moody. Then I had a lie down........

I was just slow on the uptake when I joined, and used parts of my name. At least that is unlikely to change.. ?

And given that I can be proper moody when the, er, mood takes me, Sabre Moody would be quite good too!!!

The race is hotting up and the excitement is under .. sorry, OVERwhelming

Erbas and Brigantia are neck and neck vying for the lead with Bru and SomeOtherMeaninglessName trailing a couple of lengths behind as we approach the first mark ...

I didn't have a boat when I joined hence nigelm but if I ever change my current boat then I think I'll adopt whatever that's called (within reason) .

Erbas has now pulled clear of Brigantia as we round the second mark with SomeOtherMeaninglessMadeUpName coming up on the outside to tie for second place. Bru is languishing astern in the doldrums (nothing new there then <sigh!>)

It's quite good fun this. Sad, I grant you but mildly amusing none the less!

No, not difficult. You can use some of the same letters you already have, and maybe pick some new ones too. Then you can jumble them up until they are in the order of what you think you want, then send a PM to Natalie Davies requesting that your current unwanted moniker be thrown in the trash can, and your nice new jumble will appear at the top of every post you make.

I changed to my boat name, from Wherry.......because I used to own a wherry and Woodfordes Brewery.

That's a lie actually. I have never owned a wherry and actually dislike the bitter of the same name.
